The Mad Doctor with the twisty curls who would be President is on record with some advice for newly announced Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes. And while his advice seems to be political in nature it could hint at something pretty troubling considering his company and some of his past statements. Then again, it might show us just exactly why the company he keeps means that birds of a feather flock together even as Rand Paul continues to contradict himself.

In the primary of 2004 and 2008 there was a reason I supported the Democrat I supported for President. Despite the eventual personal failings of the candidate the message of Two Americas put forward by John Edwards really resonated with me. Of course there is a good reason for that. That message has a lot of truth behind it. I do not really believe there is any doubt whatsoever that the economic policies of our government for the last thirty years have really only succeeded in doing one thing well. Creating Two Americas. One of the very few and very rich who really do get to live by a different set of rules and get preferential treatment. Another of all the rest of us who work harder and constantly find it harder to get by. Nobody is on our side.

Rand Paul is moving ahead with his 2016 Presidential campaign right on schedule. Next stop, South Carolina. Yes, today Paul is making his presence felt in one of the early primary states. With his eye on the White House he is endorsing Mark Sanford for the 1st Congressional seat in that state. However, today he is not alone in his endorsement of Sanford and upon further review these two appear to be kindred spirits in more ways that just political.

Since Ashley Judd declined to run against the Senator for Communist China Mitch McConnell he has yet to draw a big name challenge from the Democratic side. Thus far also, the Kentucky Tea party has whined and bickered but have shown themselves as all talk and no backbone and have failed to produce a primary challenger. So far only two candidates have stepped up to attempt to take this seat back from the Communist Chinese. Louisville musician and music promoter Bennie J. Smith and former Congressional candidate and contractor whom we respect greatly here, Ed Marksberry. That could be changing soon.

I want to make one thing clear. I abhor the murder of innocent people and the criminal act of planting bombs with the intent of doing so. I think it is simply horrible that an 8 year old boy and two other American citizens lost their lives needlessly on Monday and almost 200 more Americans were injured, some horribly. However, before we let passions and anger control the debate I think all Americans should take a step back before setting a very dangerous precedent.

It is no secret to millions of Americans that career politicians in Washington D.C. simply do not seem to care one bit about the real problems Americans face today. That is evident with their refusal to concentrate on the real crises in America right now namely a jobs crises and an income crises. Instead they are drumming up the "debt crises" as the main problem we face and are telling all of us that we are the ones who caused it. Worse yet, even when it comes to the debt these politicians have it all wrong.

While national Democrats have expressed disappointment in the fact that Ashley Judd will not be running against Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Democrats wait for a big name such as Alison Lundergan Grimes to get into the race one fact rings true. We have a Democratic candidate running against Mitch McConnell in this race already. Despite not having a huge name and exciting Democrats across the country another fact rings true. The man we have running against Mitch McConnell already is not only a fine Democrat, but a fine man. While others might wait for a big name politician to enter the fray one thing I have to ask all Democrats in Kentucky and across America. What is wrong with sending one of us to Washington, a man who could understand our lives and problems because he is living among us facing them also?

By now most people have heard about the leaked tapes from the office of Mitch McConnell and the ensuing hissy-fit it drew from the Senator for Communist China. Of course as always with McConnell it was some left-wing conspiracy against him because of the "noble" work he has been doing for this country. And also as always with McConnell it was a new way for him to do his favorite thing. Raise money off gullible Americans. Now after whining to the FBI the McConnell "brain-trust" is reporting that progress is being made in the "investigation".

One thing we have always been sure of around here. Mitch McConnell is a Washington politician that will do anything to keep hold of his power he uses to destroy America and the interests of American workers. One need only look at his record of bailing out the bankers, but refusing to allow any funds to be used to create jobs in our country. Indeed, after obstructing progress for America as a whole and enriching himself in the process McConnell has seen his favorability plummet. Now, it has come to light just how low this piece of garbage would seek to continue shipping jobs overseas and redistributing wealth upwards.

For a long time we have been telling the President and all Democrats one thing. There is no need to try and compromise or "reach out" to the modern Republican Party led by such "people" as John Boehner and Mitch McConnell. Indeed reaching out to these folks only leads to one thing. Pulling back a bloody nub. And now for a President that seems all to willing to sell his base and his beliefs down the river for some "grand bargain" to create some sort of legacy to be "proud" of we can only ask this. Ready to fight yet?

After much hope and fanfare among national Democrats and many in Kentucky Ashley Judd has decided not to run against Mitch McConnell in 2014. While she is definitely an intelligent, compassionate lady that would have made a great Senator it appears as if she probably did not want to go through the meat-grinder that would have been the hypocritical Republican propaganda machine and the millions of dollars of mud that Mitch McConnell would have slung her way.

Rand Paul has been making a lot of headlines lately. It appears as if the Mad Doctor with the Twisty Curls has his sights set on one thing. Being President, something his father never even got close to. In that regards it seems as if Rand Paul thinks his brand of anti-government at all costs libertarianism will help Republicans do something they have only done once in twenty years. Win the popular vote in a Presidential election. However, as with his filibuster on drone attacks on American soil one fact continues to ring true. Even when Rand Paul says or does something that seems on the surface to be the right thing, he must lace it with a poisonous dose of hypocrisy because of the underlying dark truth of his true vision for America.
