There has been much caterwauling about Rush Limbaugh's use of the phrase "Phony soldiers". It takes a willful ignorance to twist his usage into disrespect for honorably serving soldiers. He mentions the phoniest of this war's poseurs, Jesse Macbeth, by name right after using the phrase.
The facts have not stopped many from using this non-insult to try and score political points. Now the last pieces of the "We support the troops" facade are falling off.
