  •  Thank you. Great diary. Now a chance for our (0+ / 0-)

prez to take the lead in his state of the union address and re-instill the American "can do" attitude and positive approach to solving our problems. I am so tired of hearing folks state that the US decline is inevitable, that we will be a second rate power like the UK or France in 10 years and so forth. If the last happens it is because we let it. While there are a lot of issues, one of the worst things is the grand funk that we have slipped into. Time to get out of it.

A free tip - we ain't on the downward path. This recession is bad, but can be overcome by a positive attitude, more hard work, and enlightened government policies. Now is the best time for our prez to be aggressive and get us moving. And to motivate us. Yeah the financial mavens have us by the balls/uteri yet again, but hell we have overcome worse.

If... the machine of government... is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then, I say, break the law. ~Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobediance, 1849
