    ...members of the Crickets, but Wikipedia won't back me up on that. Interestingly though, the Fireballs discography shows an album from 1964 titled "Buddy's Buddy."

      The Fireballs provided backing instrumentation on some of Holly's demoes that were unfinished at the time of his death ("Peggy Sue Got Married" is probably the best-known of the bunch), and released in 1962. Naturally, most of his fans prefer the raw originals.
