  •  Keep an eye out for Pres Obama's next Energy (14+ / 0-)

Secretary.  MIT Nuclear Physicist Ernest Moniz seems to be the front runner now and he's pro-fracking as he sees Natural Gas as the "bridge fuel" to replace the much dirtier coal while renewables tech are still in their infancy.

Keystone XL Pipeline - Canada gets the money, Asia gets the oil, America gets the toxic refinery pollution and potential for a pipeline leak ecological disaster.

Are we arguing about what is or arguing about what should be? If we were truly talking about sustainability we'd have a couple billion less people right now (ideally more though) and Reagan and two Bushes never would have been presidents. But that all happened.

As someone who studies energy issues I can tell you that we are in scary times. I can only imagine the memos that the Energy Secretary and the President receive.

Governments care only as much as their citizens force them to care. Nothing changes unless we change -- George Monbiot.
