It takes almost $1 billion to run for president.  Although Obama came from modest means, he has been hob-nobbing with the elite class since he walked into Harvard.  He also has strong ties to the Neo-liberals at the University of Chicago.  When the ACA was being pushed through congress, he had meetings with Big Pharma and Big Healthcare, but I don't remember any meetings with ordinary folks that were being overrun by the system.  He is a big ideas guy who thinks his big ideas are good for the little guy.  I believe his heart may be in the right place, but the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

to believe Obama falls into number 1.  I forgive him for the ACA and Big Pharma because it was the only way to get anything passed.  If Big Pharma started doing the Harry and Louise thing against the bill, it would have never passed.

I like to believe that only about 25% of the Dems are corrupt, while 95% of the Repugs are.  The Dems have a very tough fight when the majority of congress is corrupt, but they have to show some backbone and expose the corruption by having a knock down drag em out fight with the Repugs and let the American people decide.

Already there.  Obama has great rhetoric.  But except for marriage equality and gay issues, he is pretty much to the right of every modern president.

You think he is to the right of Bush, Jr, Bush Sr., Reagan and Nixon?

dumbest of the day, probably the month and possibly the year:

Obama has great rhetoric.  But except for marriage equality and gay issues, he is pretty much to the right of every modern president.
It is literally impossible to honestly justify that comment because it's so provably factually false.  Could you possibly be so daft that you can't even remember 5 years ago (reminder:  George W. Bush)?  I'll stop with that one example because it's the most egregious and I'm wasting my time with someone who would post such a comment.
