  •  Our [supposed] public servants in Washington... (11+ / 0-)

-- I'm talking government here -- have effectively and with great, concerted aforethought carried out the biggest coup d'état in the history of planet Earth, and sadly, you can't even say it's been a bloodless one.

They've sent our brave, patriotic young men and women into multiple unjust wars for profit abroad, and left us vulnerable to myriad dangers here at home, whether it's exposure to poverty, prison or prejudice, or the random chance of becoming another murder statistic; slaughtered at the hands of a crazed individual wielding a very real and very accessible WMD.

They've even left our air, our water unregulated and unsafe. They're in complete and careless control of both the food we eat, and the cost prohibitive healthcare system that provides no relief from the illnesses caused by the conditions of all three.

They're bought and paid for. And, they're entrenched. They've written the laws that protect both their societal status and institutional theft of anything worth anything in America. They've used fear as a very cynical, apathetic means to an end. And, they've used lies and obfuscation to distract us as they've legislated; as they've given legal sanction to grave injustices that affect millions and millions of people every day.

In the recently uttered and henceforth immortal words of one Samuel L. Jackson:

"... time to wake the F*** up!"
    Rant out

"That men do not learn very much from the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history." ~ Aldous Huxley
