is that too many states are becoming like Florida or Georgia or Texas ....the extremism is spreading like a cancer.

My sister wants to retire in PA where we grew up after spending 30 yrs teaching in GA. The hard part is she happens in a very blue district in a blue county. Her town is very diverse and her school is very diverse with 33 different ethnic groups represented. She visited me in PA recently and did not see one minority person for the entire month she was here.

And then with Corbett going batshit crazy teabagger and the GOP here going nuts, we are slowly evolving into those red state status with our laws.

So it will be a tough decision for her because I wish I lived in her diverse liberal town in Georgia but we do not want to live in the south or in Georgia but our blue state of PA is populated by a lot of baggers and racists too..more than she sees.

She is shocked to hear so much racism and bigotry in PA as in her world in her liberal suburb of Atlanta where her neighborhood is ethnically diverse, she does not see what we see and experience what we experience in some more rural counties in blue states.

outside of her county.  But she is so busy at the school, she does not get out enough. She puts into about 70 plus hrs a week at school because she is not only a teacher but the first woman athletic director in her district and one of the few ever in the state plus she does the job of other employees as well.

She figures she will retire within the next 2 years as she became eligible this year, and she might as well put all of her energy and time into school. She is not married and no kids and she has given her heart and soul to this school.

But she is torn as she has a huge network of friends from many different ethnic backgrounds who are so good to her but she has family here ....she thinks as she ages, she wants to be near me as since our parents died, there is just me, one elderly aunt and a cousin ..all in the northeast.
