There seems to be animosity, resentment and suspicion directed at Foye from the Christie contingent for being responsible for leaks about PA business and burnishing his reputation "riding in on a white horse" at other's expense.

I understand why someone could take those comments with your interpretation, but so far Foye is coming out as the biggest hero in the whole mess. He was consciously kept out of the loop by the perps as far as I am aware, and then when he was made conscious of the situation by a reporter's phone call directly to him, he brought the whole thing to a halt almost immediately.

And in answer to the second question about how long - I don't think it is known. We (people just reading and following along) only know that the shutdown by Foye was premature to what they had planned. Which is crazy. How long did they think the citizens of Ft. Lee would put up with being gridlocked and having their town shut down? The perps are LUCKY that Foye shut it down when he did, because otherwise, I think it is inevitable that some deaths would have resulted and then everyone involved might be looking at some very very serious consequences. Not that they aren't now, but even worse.

Only a matter of time before someone got seriously hurt by those lane closures.  Bastards

We know it must have been intended to last much longer than 4 days, given how furious they were about Foye ending it.
