<title>Could Hillary win in 2016?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/12/24/931149/-Could-Hillary-win-in-2016</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I think if the democratic party doesn&#x27;t get too crazy, we can keep the White House till 2016. Obama is still popular, and I think the voters who came out for him in 2008 are going to come out again in 2012. Maybe more.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In my last diary, I mentioned that Hillary was unlikely to and should not primary Obama in 2012. But I&#x27;m wondering if she might be the best candidate for 2016.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Was the Obama-Clinton battle a good thing for Democrats?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/12/7/670289/-Was-the-Obama-Clinton-battle-a-good-thing-for-Democrats</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Deputy campaign managers for the Obama and McCain campaigns see the silver lining in the long extended primary battle. But, I hold the same attitude I had during the primary. Never again.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Hillary Clinton is not evil.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/12/514242/-Hillary-Clinton-is-not-evil</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;She&#x27;s not evil.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;She&#x27;s not racist.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;She&#x27;s not trying to destroy Obama to help McCain win so she can run again in 2012.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;You all want to know what she&#x27;s doing?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;She&#x27;s running the only campaign she can possibly run and have a chance.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Ten Reasons Why I Voted For Barack Obama</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/5/450511/-Ten-Reasons-Why-I-Voted-For-Barack-Obama</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;... and why I think you should, too.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I have just cast my vote in the California primary election for Barack Obama. Here are ten reasons why (some of which include reasons why I am &#x3C;em&#x3E;not&#x3C;/em&#x3E; voting for Hillary Clinton - some of my reasons &#x22;for&#x22; Obama are also reasons &#x22;against&#x22; Hillary):&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Critique Your Candidate.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/13/436034/-Critique-Your-Candidate</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;We all enjoy offering critiques of other candidates in the diaries. Thats a given.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Wouldn&#x27;t it also be fun to provide an honest, straightforward critique of your own preferred Candidate?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Imagine that you are campaign strategist to your candidate of choice. What advice would you give them?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;ll begin with mine, Senator Barack Obama, below the fold:&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Clinton: &#x22;I would never have taken us to Iraq.&#x22; </title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/6/431797/-Clinton-I-would-never-have-taken-us-to-Iraq</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;In Nashua, NH today from &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0108/Back_to_Iraq.html&#x22;&#x3E;Politico.com:&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x22;After 9/11, I would never have taken us to war in Iraq,&#x22; she said. &#x22;I would have stayed focused on Afghanistan because the real threat was coming from there.&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;This campaign is becoming unhinged.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>John Edwards&#x27; Legislative Career</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/1/428932/-John-Edwards-Legislative-Career</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Government is ultimately about lawmaking. The reason we have elections is to determine who gets to make the laws. While me may get excited about all the positioning, speeches, campaign tactics and what not, when ass meets chair, its about making the laws that govern us.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;So, for your benefit, I introduce the legislative accomplishments of John Edwards. This is not a voting record. Sometimes, the rules of the Senate force senators to make bad votes, sometimes even being forced to vote for things they are against. No, a better indicator is to look at the kind of legislation one sponsors. In other words, if he had his way, what would he change?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I will write up each candidate, including Senators Clinton and Obama. It will take me some time on Obama because he wrote a trailer load of laws in Illinois and I don&#x27;t have complete access to all the information quite yet.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>A vote for Clinton = a vote to end Dean&#x27;s 50 State Strategy?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/12/30/428083/-A-vote-for-Clinton-a-vote-to-end-Dean-s-50-State-Strategy</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;In my opinion, there are a lot of reasons not to vote for Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee for President. Most of them are obvious from a progressive standpoint (at least I think so), but one of the most significant is perhaps not so obvious.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;When the dust clears, the Democratic nominee will become the functional head of the Democratic National Committee. Howard Dean will become largely marginalized and ultimately replaced by someone who is the candidate&#x27;s right-hand person, if that candidate actually wins the White House (and if he or she doesn&#x27;t, Dean will end up taking the blame anyway, and will likely be shown the door). It&#x27;s a pattern which is routine (although, IMO undesirable - and I&#x27;d like to see it broken). In the short term, though, the candidate will be largely calling the shots.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
