Now, a stunning new revelation <a href="http://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/co-author-of-mike-huckabee-books-was-accused-of-child-molest#.gj7EmvDEjn">being reported by Buzz-Feed</a> that Mike Huckabee's co-author of his ironically titled Character Makes a Difference has been "accused of child molestation in two legal cases." John Perry, who also co-authored a book by right-wing Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore, was accused of molesting a child by his ex-wife during divorce proceedings, and the subsequent police investigation of those charges found that: <blockquote>“the allegations of sexual battery were sustained” but that the statute of limitations had expired."</blockquote> Buzzfeed contacted the Nashville Police Department who confirmed through a spokesperson that the victim was a child between the ages of 11 and 14. In a separate suit brought by a former member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church where Perry attended, the accuser, Austin Davis, claims the church covered up Perry's molestation and "launched a campaign to silence and harass Davis." This new revelation is just one more in a string of damaging allegations against Huckabee and his right-wing child molestation apologists like Megyn Kelly at Fox News. The victim was a young member of his church: <blockquote>“The alleged sexual battery was reported to have occurred when the victim was between the ages of 11 and 14,” said Nashville police department spokesperson Don Aaron in a statement to BuzzFeed News.</blockquote> It appears the allegations surfaced before they worked together on a book about Huckabee's role in the 2008 Republican primaries:   <blockquote>In Davis’s court case, he presents what he alleges are minutes from Covenant Presbyterian Church meetings that show Perry resigning from the church’s diaconate in 2008, and minutes from 2010 showing Perry was excommunicated from the church because he “has confessed to committing heinous and repetitive sin […] and has not shown evidence of repentance.” The minutes appear to have been introduced as evidence in one of Davis’ lawsuits against the church.
