One wonders why she would confess In such a public way. They'd been a couple for months now Well known in Trumpsterdom; As steamy as that swamp can get For them things turned ho-hum. It was posted with a picture of Kelly in a pin-up pose wearing nothing but lingerie. (Photoshopped?) The poster was saying he wouldn’t watch her on TV any more, but he had no problems with pictures like that or being accused of objectifying her as a sex object, because “..She did that all by her Bymbo self.” I made a joking comment asking if that was a photo from the job application she used to get hired by <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/roger-ailes-accusers-list_us_57a9fa19e4b06e52746db865" target="_blank">Roger Ailes</a>. OK. In Las Vegas yesterday, Secretary Clinton said - and this is a quote - "if Trump wins, we'd have a president who doesn't see you" - Latinos she means - "as American," which is harsh. But Trump did literally say that an American judge of Mexican descent could not do his job as a judge because he's, quote, "Mexican." Is there something to Secretary Clinton's argument here? DELGADO: Well, it's a shame the media's still misreporting that Mr. Trump said that he couldn't do his job because he was Mexican. Mr. Trump expressed concern that the judge may have had some sort of personal animus or concerns about Mr. Trump based on Mr. Trump's plan to build a wall. And sure, I suppose that's related to his being Mexican and the fact that the judge was also a member of an organization that had boycotted Mr. Trump over his views on the wall. So no, he never said it was because of his Mexican heritage. Obviously, he has a Latino adviser, so he does not cast any aspersions on our talents but rather is a firm believer in them. He never has said that in any way, and I'm sad to see that the media's still reporting it that way. </blockquote> emphasis added Inskeep was getting spun aggressively by Delgado all through the interview; you really have to listen to the audio at the link to get the full flavor of her in action. Inskeep was having obvious trouble with a guest who is blatantly lying to his face. The old joke about “reality having a liberal bias”? Some people hate the idea of anything with the label ‘liberal’ attached to it so much, they’ll have nothing to do with it. It’s an old con. Once you get people to buy in to the belief system you’re pushing, you can lead them around by the nose. (Or the balls, as the Megyn Kelly non-fan would put it.) Delgado, who is still allowed on television for some reason, took to MSNBC to deny that Trump ever "mentioned looks" in his attacks on the multiple women who have accused him of sexual assault—and besides, if he did it's <a href="http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/aj-delgado-claims-not-offensive-trump-discuss-accusers-looks?utm_content=buffer0b95e&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer" title="">his accusers' fault anyway</a>. <blockquote>“When you have somebody claiming that you sexually assaulted them, you have brought looks into the equation,” she said. “If somebody said, ‘A.J. was attracted to me and touched me in an inappropriate manner,’ it’s relevant to the discussion whether that person is the type of person that I would normally be attracted to,” Delgado went on. “He hasn’t mentioned looks. If he did, it would be germane to the discussion. I wouldn’t find that offensive.” </blockquote> For the record, Donald Trump has a lifelong history of mentioning looks even when it is not remotely germane to the discussion. But Delgado's specific claim that he hasn't bashed his accusers' looks is especially peculiar, given that <a href="https://twitter.com/MattGertz/status/786619688297963520">he's been making</a> a <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/10/14/trump-mocks-sexual-assault-accuser-she-would-not-be-my-first-choice/">habit of it</a>. <blockquote>“Believe me, she would not be my first choice, that I can tell you,” Trump said during a campaign event here, referring to one alleged victim. “You don’t know. That would not be my first choice.”</blockquote> You've got to wonder how any of these Trump surrogates live with themselves. There's a whole constellation of mean-spirited Republicans out there to back—what kind of person looks the lot over and then devotes themselves and their future careers to, of all people, Donald Trump? I'll have to lie during every single television appearance, they think to themselves, but it will all be worth it for Donald. Freaking.
