<title>This is what we deal with in Florida and the poor in Florida buy it.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2019/4/8/1848625/-This-is-what-we-deal-with-in-Florida-and-the-poor-in-Florida-buy-it</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;We have to travel SR 200 many times to get to Ocala.&#xA0; Hundreds of thousands of people travel this road to get to I-75.&#xA0; People think of Ocala as a very rich area.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Marion County has some wealth, no doubt.&#xA0; Marion County also has some very poor.&#xA0; &#xA0;This man is an example of what we deal with on a daily basis from many of the uneducatated and bias and why we lose Florida in elections many times over.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I will say one thing for this old Dixiecrat...he has staying power. Rain or shine...hot or cool...There he is&#x2026;.with signs hanging from bushes, trashing up the trees and view with Pro Trump...and anti democratic signs.&#xA0; &#xA0;He is a distraction and I wonder how many wrecks he has caused.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Anello, 79, loves politics. And for the last nine years, he has made it his life&#x2019;s purpose to share his views. After getting his political inspiration from the radio in recent mornings, he puts on his worn slacks and his Donald Trump campaign T-shirt.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;He grabs an American flag, as well as a few homemade cardboard political signs, and trudges a block south to State Road 200.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.ocala.com/news/20160320/familar-face-sam-anello-now-touts-trump-on-busy-corner/1&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;www.ocala.com/&#x2026;&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Traffic data for that intersection indicates that in the last nine years about 51 million cars have traveled through that intersection. About one third of those drivers &#x2014; about 17 million &#x2014; likely have driven by while Anello was standing along the roadside.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x201C;I believe in the Constitution and the First Amendment,&#x201D; said Anello, who was born in northern New Jersey during the Great Depression.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;He is so poor that the should totally be against Trump but this is the kind Trump attracts.&#xA0; &#xA0;Why would a man who cannot afford broadband, decent housing, and a car&#xA0; desire to stand on a street corner for nine years dissing democrats and yet does not vote.&#xA0; He does not vote&#xA0; and has not voted since he cast his ballot for George Wallace.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I too believe in the first amendment but I have never seen any democrat stand for years pushing an agenda like this old nutcase does.&#xA0; Freeblogger is the exception. I believe Freeblogger is heroic and&#xA0;&#xA0;gets the message out.&#xA0; I wonder why more of us are not LIKE THIS OLD HATER.&#xA0; &#xA0;Maybe because we have a life, but if you read the article, you would see just how talk radio has influenced this guy.&#xA0; These signs say almost every one of Trump&#x2019;s talking points.&#xA0; &#xA0;His signs say, &#x201C; Build the Wall&#x201D;, Stop Socialism , Vote Trump a Man of greatness 2020, Illegal immigration is taking over our country, Democrats and the media are the enemy of the people, and there are soooooooooo many hate filled signs.&#xA0; &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For years I watched his signs bashing President Obama and now it is nothing but praise for the hate filled orange face&#xA0; nutcase residing in DC.&#xA0;&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;He hails from New Jersey.&#xA0; &#xA0; Most of our Trump supporters DO NOT come from areas that are from Florida. The home states they hailed from went blue so they escaped to keep Florida red.&#xA0; &#xA0;I invite liberals here to even things out.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;You would think Old Orange face would appreciate all this love but he is laughing at this guy.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I keep asking myself why do the democrats bash each other but not stand together to keep these kind of people from influencing?&#xA0; &#xA0;This man is a true believer and we have many true believers down here.&#xA0; &#xA0;It is extremely sad to report.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;This is a cult.&#xA0; Democrats have to come together and stop this back biting to rid us of this evil.&#xA0; &#xA0;There are more Trump supporters out there than you realize and we have to get all Democrats to vote against this man.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Thursday Thought: From Whence Southern Democrats Spawn</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/8/23/1123562/-Thursday-Thought-From-Whence-Southern-Democrats-Spawn</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;From Malcolm X&#x27;s Speech, &#x22;The Ballot or the Bullet,&#x22; analyzing Democrats&#x27; historical antipathy toward Black folks and more generally, people of color. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;I&#x27;m not a politician, not even a student of politics; in fact, I&#x27;m not a student of much of anything. I&#x27;m not a Democrat. I&#x27;m not a Republican...
&#x3C;p&#x3E;...It&#x27;s got to be the ballot or the bullet. The ballot or the bullet. If you&#x27;re afraid to use an expression like that, you should get on out of the country; you should get back in the cotton patch; you should get back in the alley. They get all the Negro vote, and after they get it, the Negro gets nothing in return. All they did when they got to Washington was give a few big Negroes big jobs. Those big Negroes didn&#x27;t need big jobs, they already had jobs. That&#x27;s camouflage, that&#x27;s trickery, that&#x27;s treachery, window-dressing. I&#x27;m not trying to knock out the Democrats for the Republicans. We&#x27;ll get to them in a minute. But it is true; you put the Democrats first and the Democrats put you last.&#x3C;br /&#x3E;
.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;br /&#x3E;Under the stuff Americans are too damn lazy to be informed about, you can add &#x22;an understanding of Libertarianism&#x22;. Libertarianism is a $50 word, and as my kids used to tell me, &#x22;we don&#x27;t know nothing about any 50 dollar words!&#x22; Ok let&#x27;s have a quickie definition so you all can get a little understanding. Please join me beneath the fold below.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>COLLECTIVISM UNITE!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/22/839712/-COLLECTIVISM-UNITE</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;It finally dawned on me what the right&#x26;#8217;s uber-theory is, their subtext in today&#x26;#8217;s raucous tug-of-war for the heart and soul of the country. It&#x27;s straight outa Ayn Rand, with a paranoid tweak from the Bircher-Bagger crowd, and probably best summed up as Individualism vs. Collectivism.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The righties have convinced themselves that the liberal agenda is the creation of a Collectivist state. That&#x26;#8217;s the queen bee in the bonnet of those little old ladies in tennis shoes channeling Glenn Beck. It&#x26;#8217;s what underlies all the snarkiness of Hannity and Limbaugh and O&#x26;#8217;Reilly; it&#x26;#8217;s behind all the town hall shout-downs and the name-calling; it&#x26;#8217;s become the very undercurrent of our coarse national discourse - the thesis/antithesis of Individualism vs. Collectivism.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>GOP Defends Trent Lott, Calls for Reid to Resign </title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/1/10/823644/-GOP-Defends-Trent-Lott-Calls-for-Reid-to-Resign</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;While President Obama declared &#x22;the book is closed&#x22; on Harry Reid&#x27;s past &#x22;negro dialect&#x22; comment, Republicans are using the imbroglio to reopen the book on the disgraced &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31300.html&#x22;&#x3E;Trent Lott&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. &#x26;nbsp;On Sunday, RNC chairman Michael Steele and Arizona Senator Jon Kyl insisted &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/75067-steele-reid-should-step-down-from-leadership-role-for-negro-remark&#x22;&#x3E;Reid should resign his post&#x3C;/a&#x3E; as Senate Majority Leader like Trent Lott before him.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Sadly for the Republicans, there is no double standard at work here. &#x26;nbsp;Trent Lott didn&#x27;t merely lavish praise on the legendary racist and segregation stalwart Strom Thurmond. &#x26;nbsp;Lott&#x27;s 2002 reminder that the old times there are not forgotten capped &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.perrspectives.com/blog/archives/000192.htm&#x22;&#x3E;a career of neo-Confederate nostalgia&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Helms, Wellstone and the Partisan Eulogies of George W. Bush</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/7/5/546948/-Helms-Wellstone-and-the-Partisan-Eulogies-of-George-W-Bush</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Eulogies often tell us more about the living than the deceased. &#x26;nbsp;With his glowing words Friday about the late &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/04/obit.helms/&#x22;&#x3E;Jesse Helms&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2008/07/20080704-2.html&#x22;&#x3E;George W. Bush&#x3C;/a&#x3E; offered a case in point. &#x26;nbsp;Lauding the legendary North Carolina segregationist just as he did Helms&#x27; fellow traveler &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/06/20030627-4.html&#x22;&#x3E;Strom Thurmond&#x3C;/a&#x3E; only five years earlier, Bush boosted his Republican allies even in death. &#x26;nbsp;But as a quick comparison to his meager 2002 statement about Minnesota Democrat &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021025-1.html&#x22;&#x3E;Paul Wellstone&#x3C;/a&#x3E; shows, President Bush is the master of the partisan eulogy.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
