Please tell me what President Obama's strategy and tactics are to provide the change we are all hoping for? I sure as hell do not have the vaguest idea of what is going on. Austerity makes absolutely no sense, so tell me why did the president act like austerity was necessary? What benefit was gained? Did the tea party or for that matter any republicans came rushing to his side.

Now some say the strategy is to be the adult in the room. An adult who is caving in to his children certainly does not look like much of an adult. Everybody knows the president constantly caves instead of acting like an adult by setting limits on the republican children. What good is being the adult if the place is falling apart. The fact that the place is falling apart is not blamed on the children, it is blamed on the adult.

Some say his strategy is to keep his ratings higher than the republicans in congress. Well he ain't running for congress as someone pointed out when I said Obama lost the 2010 election. Well he sure as hell lead the Democrats to the losses in 2010 despite republicans being the party of no and weakening both the stimulus package and the health care law. At any rate he will not be running against congress in 2012, but rather a republican nominee who will blame the president for not fixing the problems of the nation overnight by not cutting spending and reducing taxes.

So tell me what is the president's strategy. Will he be bold and propose programs that are needed to fix the economy or will he be a wimp and propose a Georgia jobs program where the unemployed go to work for free. Either way the republicans will reject everything he proposes but tax cuts for the rich.

I read a diary that claimed the president was smart to accept Boehmer's suggestion that the speech be moved to Thursday. Was the president dumb to ask for the speech to be on Wednesday? Just what is so smart about conflicting with the NFL season opener? Tell me what was the president's strategy, to get football fans to blame republicans? Well the fans will not even think of that rather they will think of the president for choosing to give the speech during the pregame show or the kickoff. Just what was the strategy?

There is no question that Jimmy Carter was a better president than Ronald Reagan. Yet because Carter appeared weak (the Iran debacle being the straw that broke the camel's back) he lost to a much poorer candidate. Sitting presidents lose elections by being perceived as being weak. What is Obama's strategy? What are his tactics? Is there some form of political jujitsu going on and if so when will the republicans fall?

There are many here who say I and others like me criticize Obama too much. I am scared that both President Obama and democrats in congress will lose in 2012 like democrats lost in 2010 unless people perceive President Obama has the audacity to lead change; change the people can believe in. People have an urgent need for change. Does President Obama have the audacity to lead?
