It occurs to me that as a result of this race, the political stock of both candidates is going to be higher at the end of this process than it was at the beginning. High enough that it might make sense for whichever one of them wins the White House to consider asking the other if he or she would like to serve as a Cabinet member or in some other role in the winner's administration.
If Bernie wins, I see two likely spots for Hillary: SecDef or Chief of Staff. She'd be the first female Secretary of Defense, and it's a position with which she wouldn't be unfamiliar being that DoS and DoD work closely together at times. Chief of Staff: Well, you saw her yesterday. Any doubts she could do it?
If Hillary wins, she should ask Bernie if he'd like a Cabinet or other position, or if he'd rather stay in the Senate. There are a number of spots he could take, but I can easily see him deciding to forego all of them and stay put.
