Republicans are terrified of running against her (despite what they might say in public). There is a reason why Republicans have focused their attacks on Hillary almost exclusively and have devoted so much effort to sabotaging her candidacy (Benghazi Committee anyone?). They know she is a formidable politician and would be their biggest headache in the general election.
If you don’t believe me check this out:
If you were new to politics you’d think this ad was released by the Sanders campaign or some Super Pac supporting Bernie. But this ad, as we all see here, is released by American Crossroads, a right wing Super Pac run by the cunning Republican strategist Karl Rove.
Has Karl Rove suddenly changed tune and joined the Sanders Revolution? Naaaw — you’d have to be born yesterday to believe that. So why is Rove going out of his way to attack Hillary in the Democratic Primary? Well it’s obvious the pudgy tactition is up to his slithery deceitful ways...
Realizing that the GOP nomination fight is a train wreck beyond his control, he cleverly thought up the idea to stir the waters in the Democratic primary. What better way to do this than to go after the presumptive Democratic front-runner by attacking her on what he perceives as one of her weakest points with the Democratic base: her ties to Wall Street?
By attacking Hillary, Karl Rove’s aim is to prop up her opponent, Bernie Sanders, who he calculates would be a much weaker opponent than her in the general against the GOP nominee.
That Karl Rove would do this shouldn’t surprise anyone who knows what he’s capable of. However the fact that this man, who was so reviled by the left during the Bush years (and still reviled today I might add), would insert himself into our primary to influence who we select as our nominee should give seasoned political minds pause.
This is yet another reason why I continue to stand by Hillary. Republicans do not like her. I STRONGLY dislike Republicans (to put it mildly) so naturally I am drawn to her candidacy. I also like her reality based approach to things and the fact that she is the one candidate out there promising to preserve and build on Obama’s legacy. When snakes like Rove go after Hillary, I have no choice but to stand with her.
