I just submitted this question (as stated in the headline) to the Debate Commission for consideration in the upcoming town-hall style debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

I am sick and tired of the blatant attempt by Republicans to disenfranchise the constitutional rights of minority voters. Please help this question get some visibility by voting for it here:

According to the commission, the town-hall will feature questions from the internet and the moderators have agreed to consider the 30 most popular questions. Republicans are already freeping the commission by voting up bogus questions about non-existent voter fraud. We need to push back to make sure the real issue of Republican war on voters gets addressed.

The Washington Post’s Eugene Robinson called it the ugliest, most appalling spectacle in American politics:

Every once in a while, the curtains part and we get a glimpse of the ugliest, most shameful spectacle in American politics: the Republican Party’s systematic attempt to disenfranchise African Americans and other minorities with voter-ID laws and other restrictions at the polls.

If you thought this kind of discrimination died with Jim Crow, think again. Fortunately, federal courts have blocked implementation of some of the worst new laws, at least for now. But the most effective response would be for black and brown voters to send the GOP a message by turning out in record numbers, no matter what barriers Republicans try to put in our way.

Thanks for your help guys. Once again, vote here:
