You have to feel a bit sorry for Right-leaning or “trying to be fair” newscasters, that aren’t on Fox, as they try to find some excuse to praise Trump.  Trump gave a pretty normal response to the shooting of those present at the baseball practice yesterday morning.  He started to get a bit zealous on how great a friend he is to Rep. Scalise, but caught himself just before he got hyperbolic.  Being cynical, I doubt he could pick him out of a line-up.  But after that, he seemed to hit all the right talking points.   Now he’s earned, for the second time, that I can remember, in 145 days, fair praise for being HIGHLY PRESIDENTIAL in a statement made to the country.  Yeah!  

     Extrapolated out, as we are one-tenth thru a four year term, ( sorry, could be less but we don’t know that for sure, yet) we can expect approximately 21 glorified  Presidential moments over the next 1315 days. (Oh lordy, is it really that long?) As I don’t suppose these statements will be terribly inspiring for most of us, unless “carnage” gets you excited, I doubt there will be enough for an actual book.

     Yesterday, I was reflective.  I’m still praying for Rep. Scalise and Matt Mica, but today, I’m back to feeling snarky, especially after seeing the Eye of Newt on news ragging on Dems. trying to set up Mueller for firing.
