Today I am thankful for...

The color of the clouds as the sun briefly peeked over the horizon,

The smell of waffles cooking in the kitchen,

Love of family and friends,

The people I see everyday who rise above petty politics to remember why we are doing this thing called governance,

The strength of the movement to get rid of those who don't know how to govern,

The basic human desire to be good,

The few people who rise above their comfort level to live up to that desire,

The people of Daily Kos who help me feel less alone,

The hope of 2006.

I could go on forever.  In this time of disgust with so much around us, I welcome a day to think about what I cherish.  I welcome you to add what you are thankful for as well.
