Hello folks. This is my first attempt at a diary. Be kind.

Despite my recent campaign promises to both my therapist and (much more importantly, my beautiful partner) to cut back on TV news consumption, I indulged in both Maddow and The 11th Hour this evening. Something unleashed a bee in my boxers, and it just now clicked. To be honest, I'm consistently slow in the neuron department recently, as the hard drive in my head is fragmented as all get up these days. So to the point of this…

All I hear when referring to the Trump/Stormy Daniels case from Williams and Maddow is "porn star" and "adult film actress." That's on MSNBC, and I find it extremely disappointing. It's also all I hear anywhere else. Or read anywhere else. I chose to identify her as Stormy Daniels above to illustrate the kindest identification I see/hear of the woman named Stephanie Clifford. It seems to me that if the media is going to legitimize this story (which they are doing, and they should,) then maybe we can take the huge step of actually legitimizing Stephanie Clifford.

I guess we can just continue to identify her by her stage name (at best.) Or better yet, continue to just refer to her as the porn star/adult film actress.
