Something dawned on me as I clicked on MSNBC today. Which I only did because I think my landlord (for 8+ years) is getting a new fridge for me. And that causes some panic. "Are you doing improvements to get market value?" "You do know you'll have to put 20 grand into this place to meet the demand right?"
Anyways... Sorry for the selfish tangent. Back to the point.
Who here has seen a Trump commercial (not related to politics) recently? Maybe I'm missing them, but for a guy who is a "billionaire" built on name only it seems strange. Advertising is the heart and soul of business. We all know that. You have to advertise to get investments and sales right?
Or not. We have reached a point where the income differential is so fantastically horrifying that traditional advertising is for us "regular" folks. The big businesses don't have to advertise to us. Ever seen Twitter run an add? Facebook? These folks run in their own world. We don't matter. They get to speak directly to serious investors. Saudi Arabia? UAE?
Russia?
I'm probably just having one of my moments. But I felt like i should share my thoughts today. It's a bit terrifying to me that the general population no longer matters. The folks with real power couldn't care less. They are advertising to a very select group these days. Spending money on us is a waste of resources.
Feel free to roast the fuck outta my insane ramblings. I just don't care anymore.
