Welcome to bookchat where you can talk about anything...books, plays, essays, and audio books.  You don’t have to be reading a book to come in, sit down, and chat with us.

…..

Last week, I listed the books that made a difference to me that were published in the 60’s.  This week it is the 70’s although some of my favorites were read in later years than they were published.

….

In the 70’s I was teaching day school and traveling in the summer out West (70, 71) and to Europe (72) and a few days in the Caribbean (73).  Then we bought a small cottage on a lake and started fixing it…oh, my…long story.  Then, my first two children of three were born in 1975 and 1978.  I kept on reading, but I quit working.  For a couple of years in the 70’s before my children were born, I did get to go to the Flint Public Library and bring home armfuls of books.

…...

I can’t name all my favorites from the list so you can add yours in the comments.  You can add the ones I have not read, also.

POLL:  Sorry...due to chaos in my life this week, I forgot to give the choice in the poll of more than one book so please vote for one and then list the ones you like in the comments.  (I am using a heating pad to help with a pinched nerve/sciatica and Hubby had cataracts removed from both eyes and all is well with him).
