Former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro has qualified for the September presidential debate. Castro got his fourth qualifying poll at 2% after having already reached the 130,000-donor threshold.
That makes 10 candidates to qualify for the September debate with just over a week until the deadline for qualifying polls. Former Vice President Joe Biden; Sens. Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren; Mayor Pete Buttigieg, former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, and Andrew Yang had already qualified.
The CNN poll that put Castro over the top also gave Rep. Tulsi Gabbard her second qualifying poll. Billionaire Tom Steyer is one poll away from making the debate.
