Donald Trump did an interview on Monday with his biggest cheerleader, Fox News’ Sean Hannity. In it he said that the press treated him worse than Abraham Lincoln. So there’s that. He also revealed this little gem: “Look, they gave out Pulitzer Prizes to people who got it wrong. All these people from The New York Times, which is a fake newspaper—we don’t even want that in the White House anymore. We’re gonna probably terminate that and The Washington Post—they’re fake.”
Politico reported on Tuesday that the White House is indeed planning to cancel its subscriptions to the two papers. White House press secretary and mostly missing in action human Stephanie Grisham confirmed that the White House would not be renewing its subscriptions.
This, of course, is a big surprise, since most of us believed Trump received crayon-drawn pretend newspapers with large all-capitals printed headlines saying, “TRUMP WINNING BECAUSE HE’S THE BEST” and “TRUMP IS RIGHT!” I guess someone must have just mentioned to him that the White House had newspaper subscriptions.
