If I really thought that voters were paying attention to important details (instead of gaffes and yawps), I'd have to say that they've decided that it isn't important that
John Kerry has raised more money from paid lobbyists than any other senator over the last 15 years, or that, "like President Bush, Kerry has also turned to a number of corporate officials and lobbyists to "bundle" contributions from smaller donors, often in sums of $50,000 or more..."
The reason it isn't important? Because in any comparison, George W. Bush is worse. And if you've already decided that Kerry's veteran status and number of years in politics and tallness and lack of screaming makes him more (say it with me, won't you?) electable than the other Democratic candidates, then you don't have any interest in the issue of corporate influence. Bush won't be able to criticize him for it, so it doesn't matter.
*Sigh*
