kossacks help! Gas prices, etc.

Okay, I was on the phone yesterday with voters in Ohio and alot of them were concerned with 2 things

1.) gas prices

2.) college prices [to a lesser extent]

first off, someone said, 'but i saw on an ad that kerry raised the gas tax'--tell me about this and what i should say in response

then, what are some of the interesting things kerry has planned for alternative energy?

I spoke to her about bush/cheney being oilmen, how uncertainty about iraq drives up oil prices, how much lower oil was under clinton, etc.

it would be good to know more though..

Also, besides that tax credit on the first $4000 of college tuition, anything else I can say about college prices?

This stuff is important. Its what I've found to matter to most "undecideds" in Ohio.
