Job Numbers: Partisan V. Independent

There is enough confusion about the upcoming reports on Friday that I feel the need to write a short diary. There are two reports coming out on friday, one from the independent Bureau of Labor Statistics {BLS}, and the other from White House appointees, the Council of Economic Advisers {CEA}.

1.) The September monthly BLS report. This is an independent report, and ONLY for September

2.) The Whitehouse's CEA March03-March04 revision. This is a partisan group, appointed by Bush. It is NOT the same thing as the BLS numbers.
