We've had two debates, and two mentions from Bush about the International Criminal Court...he's adamenetly opposed to it - and REALLY doesn't want us to be a part of it...
Why? Could Bush have opposed it back in May 2002 because he was aware they were going to invade Iraq (as Paul O'Neill revealed)in January 2001?
If Kerry is elected, and the first thing he does is have us join the ICC - does anyone doubt one of their actions would be to put the Bush Administration on trial for an illegal war?
Even Richard Perle - a friend of the administration admitted so much...
"...Richard Perle conceded that the invasion of Iraq had been illegal.
In a startling break with the official White House and Downing Street lines, Mr Perle told an audience in London: "I think in this case international law stood in the way of doing the right thing."

And as the World Policy Institute described in 2002 - well before the start of the Iraq War...
"...The court's purpose is to try individuals who commit crimes against humanity -- acts of mass terror against civilian populations, such as the ones carried out against the United States last September. One would think that the White House would welcome such international cooperation in the war on terror. But it does not, and is making an emphatic point of saying that it will not recognize the new court.
In defense of its action, the administration claims that the statute would enable foreign countries to arrest U.S. citizens for political reasons and hand them over for trial before foreign judges in The Hague."

We have 14,000 dead Iraqi civilians, many killed by our own weapons - our own American soldiers have been part of the killing, and forced to participate in a war they themselves are confused about.
Will we see a day when Bush and Co. will be brought to justice for what they have done to this great nation?
