I'm not sure if anyone already posted on Leonard Steinhorn's article. And if you did already, I'm sorry to repeat. But it bears repeating.

What the article says is simple: if 20% of voters choose 'moral values' as their #1 issue, the fact remains that 80%...DIDNT choose such values. And Steinhorn goes further, particularly when talking about age. A large % of the religious right's constituency is older folks, "pre-boomers" [those born before 1943]. The vast majority of boomers and their kids are socially liberal in the ways that YOU Kossacks are. The author goes further to state that b/c people are living longer, this small group of pre-boomers who are hyper-religious in our view, get a disproportionate say. But the bottom line: the older generation is, well, old. and they're [no harm intended] not gonna last forever. What the USA will be left with when the boomers replace the pre-boomers as American's grandparents, is a much larger majority of socially liberal folks than the ALREADY majority we have now.

Make no mistake about it. When the puke-enducing Dick Morris says this country is pro-choice, he means it. We have the majority now. The HYSTERICAL RELIGIOUS RIGHT [i highlight that term b/c thats how you should refer to them] is actually a hysterical, loud, MINORITY. YOU, kossacks, are actually the majority.

You have little say in DC, you have little say in the media, little say in the movements of American governance...you, the majority. How strange.

"The new silent majority will rise again."
