Indeed, she and I debated one of my neocon friends who I have mentioned before over the FCC's censorship of Stern. The Neocon Friend insists that the Stern situation should not be blamed on Bush. He claims that the FCC is just acting on the wishes of Middle America, to which I responded by asking why Bush is down in the polls to Kerry in the so-called Middle America.
I also spoke to an older couple from Texas who did vote for Bush in 2000 because he was a Texan but who are now undecided about who to vote for this time. (I think their Texas Pride hid their true feelings).
I am curious, as the many Kossians on this site travel around this country and meet new people from different places, what are your experiences? Do you talk politics with them? And if so, what is the conversation like? Have you encountered many "ordinary" Americans who are likewise dissatisfied with Bush?
