Sign the MoveOn petition against the Hate Amendment

MoveOn has a petition going that they want to get to the Senate by Wednesday. I don't know if it will help, but you can sign it here.

It's stunning they are really going through with this when we have a war going on in Iraq and not enough troops, when we have a record deficit that shows no signs of abating -- not to mention the problems we have with an intelligence community that is the laughing-stock of the world. How do these right-wingers get away with such obvious politics in our legislative body?

Next week's Bush ad is obvious:

"John Kerry could not make it back to vote on medicare for our troops, but he did vote against protecting the sanctity of marriage. He voted against armor for our troops, but refused to vote to protect a child from a murder like Laci Peterson's. Are these the values we want in our leader?

John Kerry. Wrong on marriage. Wrong on children."

These people must be stopped.
