I just thought I'd solidify my musings on how the country is now and where the Dem party needs to go, using this as a calling card for the next two weeks. Every so often, someone makes a little mistake here and there in a campaign, and it's an opportunity to make serious hay with it. This is the best opportunity I've seen in a long time. I just wish Bush or Cheney had said it, but an aid is good enough for now, as you can reference the Bush/Cheney Campaign when talking about jobs now every day between Nov. 2nd as favoring prozac over HOPE...
Juxtaposition those two concepts and you'll see where I'm going. And it extends well beyond JOBS...
Bushco Takes liberty with Facts and we should to. We can "contrast" right... Well, let the dogs loose.
Bush's America:
Deal With It
Go Fuck Yourself
Take Prozac
Fear the Enemy
Don't fall prey to Terrorists
Kerry's America:
A Better Tomorrow
Hope is on the way
Strength and Wisdom
Respected in the World again
Victory in the war on Terror (not just killing more brown people).
There are themes which could and NEED to be pushed into the national mainstream. This could very well become an end of the evening quip if the talking heads don't take it and run. If there is one thing the GOP is better at than us, it's taking talking points and running with it. If I were Terry McCaullif, I'd have every Democratic Pundit out there tonight saying that while Kerry Edwards Offers Hope and Improvement (real solutions for real problems), Bush only proposes to "Treat the Symptoms" and some in his campaign have even gone so far to suggest it's time to take some Prozac. Now whose fault is it that the US is Depressed? Maybe Bush's, after all he's lost the most jobs since the Great Depression...
Rememdy:
Bush: Take Prozac
Kerry: Hope is on the Way.
