The facts are this:
Alexander Does have two Rivals. One is a Semi-Strong Conservative Competitor. The Other is a Housewife who is a Democrat and should be supported and even heralded by the blog world. She should immediately become a Dean Dozen. She should be an Eschalton Pick And she should get love from Kos.
From Alexander's Own Website, He's bragging that he's the leading fundraiser of Freshmen Democrats: http://www.rodneyalexanderforcongress.com/downloads/20030904013804.pdf
Go over to this link to see whose his donors: http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.asp?CID=N00025464&cycle=2004
From what I see there, half of his contributions are from Local Business, half from national unions... I think that if the blog world banded together, they could create enough noise and hopefully the unions will request their contributions back from the Alexander campaign. This is legal and possible, just tricky. You have to write or call the Financial Manager for the campaign.

Next, we need to get money to "Tisa" Blakes. She's a novice, but I gurantee that all the real dems in the district will vote for her. She has a good message too:
Ms. Blakes "said she entered the race to be "an example for the transition of those who are thinking they must leave the state for something better. You must make a change. You cannot wait for change."
Blakes, who is involved in several volunteer organizations in Monroe, also said she doesn't "plan to be a politician even though this is politics."
At this point, I can't get any info on donating to her. Not sure if she even has a committe up and running yet. But the facts of the situation may be on her side. You see, Louisiana has an Open Primary for Qualification. Meaning, all three will be on the ballot. Alexander, Tisa, and the Conservative. I'm not so sure how much the Conservatives will warm up to the former Democrat Alexander. Most Dems will hopefully vote for Ms. Blakes.
It is theoretically possible for Tisa get into the Runoff, which will be in December after the Presidential Election if Alexander is held below 50%. At that point, John Kerry can go into the district as well as John Breaux and the new Democratic Senator to campaign for Ms. Blakes and get an "average citizen" to congress to oust the Turncoat and to Represent the interest of the people in the district. Alexander should at least have to work for it. Just because "Tisa" isn't a politician doesn't mean she doesn't need our help.
Shit, if any candidate has ever needed the blog world's help, it's Tisa. When I get an address or Link to donate to her campaign, I'll give it to you, Promise.
