For those of you news junkies who scoured the wires when the Abu Ghraib story broke, there was a small chance you saw a story about a secret prison in Iraq.
If you don't remember hearing about this, you're probably not alone. The story dropped fast, and with the pictures from Abu Ghraib shocking everyone, the story seemed to have dropped forever.
The link still lives, but the story never did.

With such an emphasis on secrecy within the administration, an admission such as this should have been pushed & pushed until further information was provided.
If Abu Ghraib, the publicly known prison, yielded abuses that were clearly torture, what should be expected from the secret prison?
But where do you start to look? The administration will not bring it up. The media on the ground is unable to report on it, due to safety concerns, let alone the problem of trying to find a secret prison whose location is obviously secret.
What did the media do to find out more?
Nothing.
What did Democrats do to find out more?
Nothing.
So guess how much new information has followed this report, which will be four months old tomorrow?
Thats right. Nothing.
Its probably too late to push more into this, but my father & I have been discussing this story for months, and the absolute lack of acknowledgment from all sides.
What do you think?
Did you know about the secret prison?
Do you think this kind of information is important for everyone to know, or just another expected result of a military action?
Do you hate me for wasting your time reading this?
