In it they explain the following:
In Boston, the rail hub at North Station
near the FleetCenter, the site of the convention, will close starting three days
before the convention. In addition, I-93 will be closed on the four nights of the
convention, and many streets will be blocked off.
As for anything subway related being closed, they have the following:
The people who use Penn Station, the nation's busiest rail station, will find the
two exits on the Eighth Avenue side of the station sealed off. Commuters will be
funneled out through the Seventh Avenue exit, and will be directed to a pedestrian
mall down 32nd Street toward Sixth Avenue.
Conclusion to be diseminated:
Kerry was right in that the Subways were disrupted in NY, though not closed. But they WERE closed for the DNC.
Spin talking point: Kerry wasn't in NY for the convention, and mispoke. He was refering to the Boston DNC.
Make this correction. Email the campaign. Get ontop of this. It's no time to gloat.
