Let me just start off by saying, this is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. This interview occurred yesterday on the
Thom Hartmann Program; his nationally syndicated one, from 12-3 pm EST. I download his show from
White Rose Society, (which is a great site that makes available progressive programming online,) I was just listening to yesterday's show, so that's why I'm behind. Anyway.

So Thom Hartmann is interviewing Dick Morris on his new book,
Condi vs. Hillary, The Next Great Presidential Debate. So right away, Thom Hartmann start going after Dick about going after Hillary on things that Morris disagrees about, but when he talks about Condi Rice, you talk about her biography, and fail to mention her failures as National Security Advisor, and the biggest terrorist attack in our history happening on her watch.
Dick starts by arguing that Condi wasn't working for the CIA, and she got the same faulty intelligence that everyone else got. Hartmann snaps back, "Well she did get the PDB on Aug 6, titled "Bin Laden Determined To Strike In The US." Dick then moves on to, "we all believed, even in the Clinton administration that Iraq and WMD's and blah blah blah.
After some debate on Clinton's term, where Dick Morris actually argued for the positives of Clinton's term, economically. Then attack attack attack on Hillary.
Thom Hartmann goes back on Condi's failures as NSA, here's a partial transcript.
Thom Hartmann: And no where in the book, are you dealing with her absolute and utter failures to deal with National Security, in the United States. Her main job was to protect this country, and she failed. We had 9/11. We were attacked. We had all kinds of warnings. You don't even talk about that in this book.
Dick Morris: The...the...um...She was National Security Advisor for 8 months...
Thom Hartmann: Right. And Sandy Berger told me personally Dick, that he told Condi Rice when she came into office, that his words to her were "Look out for Osama Bin Laden, he's coming to get you. You need to be paying attention to this. This has to be your number one priority." And she said "Thank you very much for that information" and then she did nothing.
Dick Morris: Did he take the documents out of his sock, when he told you that?
Thom Hartmann: Come on Dick.
Dick Morris: (laughing still at his own joke)
Thom Hartmann: Do you want me to talk about hookers with you? Come on Dick.
Dick Morris: (Puase) Alright then, thanks very much for the interview. Bye bye. (CLICK)
Thom Hartmann: (pause)So ah, Dick Morris, I guess he doesn't uh... (laugh)... It's fine with Dick Morris to assassinate the personality of Sandy Berger, but when someone raises his own foibles, that's not something he wants to talk about.

Also, let me just add, I listen to the Thom Hartmann Program religiously. There are many reasons I enjoy Thom's show, but one of the main reasons is he'll have conservatives and objectivists from Ayn Rand frequently, and he'll debate them. I've learned so much from Hartmann and his show about debating with the "cons" and arguing convincingly. I really do recommend Thom's show to everyone. White Rose Society streams it live 24 hrs a day here.
Additional plus: Friday's from 12-1 pm EST, is Brunch with Bernie Friday's, where he has Independent Congressman, and Senate hopeful from the Peoples Republic of Vermont, Bernie Sanders on, taking calls from all over the country.
