I want HoDaddy for Party Chair because the bad taste in your mouth has very little to do with the man himself. Blame Joe Trippi. Blame the Press. Blame the other eight candidates. Blame Dean For America's messaging strategy. (Blame Joe Trippi.) Blame Middle America. They're all culpable. But Dr. Dean himself? Not really, except maybe he should have fired Trippi and gotten a real CEO, like Karen Hicks. It was over before election night, everyone saw that. For all the above reasons. (Does anyone know what I'm talking about? The Press sure doesn't.)
So relax. The Right will make fun of him. Who cares? They make fun of everyone. It's what they do. We feel a little bad about Howard Dean in the way the Right feels good about Bush or Reagan: it has very little to do with the actual person, it's just a feeling you get. It doesn't really exist! A myth! If you make a decision to just move on, then what's the problem? Right? It's what Democrats need to do in general.
It's not like he's running for President again. It's Party Chair. Very different.
Bottom line is he'll get a lot done that's badly needed.
