The New Normal

The United States tortures as a matter of policy rendering the Geneva Conventions "quaint."

The United States incarcerates "enemy combatants" for indeterminate amounts of time with no access to counsel.

The United States kidnaps foreign nationals and ships them to countries to be interrogated.

The President of the United States only appears at staged events and zealous "volunteers" eject law abiding citizens for not being enthusiastic supporters of the Presidents policies.

Attorneys and clergy that attempt to give counsel to enemy combatants are harassed, arrested, and convicted of various charges for having the temerity to serve our "enemies."

We are all subject to search and surveillance unsupported by a warrant supported by any oath or affirmation other than vague suspicion.

The rule of law is subverted by primitive and viscous "Christians."

The part of the new normal that is most disturbing is that no one really cares.

I want a new normal where the United States values freedom more than "security."  Freedom and liberty define the United States and if we sacrifice them in the pursuit of "security," we die as a country and as an idea.

I want a new normal where the President is the greatest leader of our time, not a class clown that can't handle talking to real Americans.

I want a new normal where trashing the Bill of Rights brings thousands into the streets to protest.

I want my country back, and I am ready to give everything to accomplish that goal.
