The Salazar brothers continue to pick the issues that matter and play to Coloradans and set up a very interesting '06 and '08 election cycle in the state. Appeal to the independents, woman and the hunters while keeping the left happy enough. I think John and Ken Salazar are giving the Democrat's Western Strategy a test run.
I missed the first part of their pitch as did a lot of folks. Check out this article from the Glenwood Springs Post Independent. This is the local paper near the Roan plateau. The key part of the article is below the fold.
Then, all of last week, Ken Salazar was part of a coordinated attack against the Christians that want a Theocracy in the United States. This article is from the Denver Post.
From the Glenwood Springs Post Independent A quote from John Salazar:
"In light of the fact that the (Colorado) Division of Wildlife has announced the region's mule deer population is already well below its target, I find this information particularly troubling," he wrote. "Key winter range areas and wildlife migration corridors such as Magpie Gulch should be protected from surface disturbance under the final plan. Winter range for the Porcupine Creek elk herd should be protected from excessive disturbance as well."
Have you seen the same rhetoric from anyone else West of the Mississippi lately? The Democrats are going after loss of habitat and the theocracy crowd.
