Hello everyone! Well, we are almost ready to launch our new and very much improved website. We took many of your suggestions from my previous post on the subject. I'll be posting a link here this weekend in advance of the official launch so everyone will be able to see it before it goes officially public.

My campaign submited the following ad at various political sites and I didn't want to leave my friends here at DailyKos out of the loop. If you think this applies to you be sure to respond... remember you don't have to be 20 years old to be an intern.

Campaign Blog/Internet Interns/Volunteers Needed

If you are a wannabe blogger, the real thing or someone looking to get their feet wet writing for a political campaign website with a national focus, the campaign of Congresswoman Louise M. Slaughter (D-NY) wants you!

The Louise Slaughter Re-Election committee is currently seeking summer (or long term) remote interns to work as writers on her soon-to-be-made-public campaign website. The site is expected to have tremendous traffic and we will need several interns to blog, keep the site updated and work closely with the campaign manager and webmaster.

We won't ask you to sit in an office answering the phone, lick a single stamp, walk door to door or make phone calls to unsuspecting voters. This is a real hands on internship.

Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to earn valuable campaign experience from your own desk at home or in the dorms. The campaign may even hire interns that prove themselves to be particularly outstanding.

Interested parties should email intern@votelouise.com with a cover letter, resume, 2 writing samples, references and information on time availability.
