The results of BushCOs federal lands policy is bringing good paying jobs .... to the Chinese. When you read this jawdropping article from the
Rocky Mountain News you will understand how Democrats can win in the West.
From the Rocky Mountain News:
The first wave of Chinese workers and their rigs are up and running in the Piceance Basin in Garfield County, the state's oil and natural gas hot spot.
Last week, a rig built in China's Sichuan province - set up by Chinese engineers and managed by a company run by Pakistani immigrants - began drilling its first well near Parachute, west of Rifle.
Democrats will win the West by hammering home the following:
- BushCOs policies have pushed manufacturing off shore, and now we are essentially importing "EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY" from China. We're outsourcing work in our own country.
- BushCOs Public Lands Policy opens up prime habitat to develop and will inevitably negatively impact hunting and fishing in the area. At least the hunting guides are from Colorado.
- Once it's gone, the habitat is not coming back. Rural Colorado depends on hunting season, and bringing in Chinese workers and rigs to tear up the landscape is ridiculous when locals could use the jobs.
BushCOs policies are negatively impacting every single state in the west, and now the old canard about jobs coming with the gas/oil shale/gold/silver exploration is toast too.
