George Allen is an idiot, who is only slightly more skilled at forming complete sentences than our current President named George. Like Mr. Bush, Mr. Allen had a famous father, the late George Allen, a Hall of Fame Head Coach of the Los Angeles (now St. Louis) Rams and the Washington Redskins.
George Allen road the family name and the first wave of a coming Republican landslide in 1993 to victory in the Governor's Race.
If you have any doubts about the family part, look at this photograph and see what he is holding in his hand....

He served as Governor until 1997, completing the single term Virginia Governors are allowed, which has got to be the stupidest term limit I have ever heard of. Former Governor Allen bided his time until 2000, where he defeated Senator Chuck Robb. He is now just completing his first term in the Senate.
His career path seems striking like the other George. He is an Arch Social Conservative, like that other George. And if you listen to another George, George Will, he has something that our current George possesses:
[A]demeanor akin to Ronald Reagan's, which was once described as ``Aw, shucks, I just stepped on my sneaker laces.'' Except there are no laces on Allen's cowboy boots, which go with the smokeless tobacco in the circular can in his pocket.
I want to vomit. This is precisely the kind of politician our so called "liberal media" will fellate in a heartbeat. Therefore, fear not the John McCains, the Rudy Guilianis, the Colin Powells, or the Sam Brownbacks. The 2008 Republican nominee will be George Allen, with Condi Rice as the Vice Presidential Nominee.
And I agree with the U.S. News article and the conservatives quoted in it, I believe, more than any other Republican running, that George Allen can win the Presidency. Enough damage has been done with one pretend cowboy idiot named George in the White House for 8 years. We can't possibly survive 12, or 16.
Therefore, it is imperative that George Allen be defeated in 2006. The only man that can do that is..

He must run. This is not a request. This is not a wish, or a hope for a competitive Senate race in Virginia. If Mark Warner aspires to future and higher political office, either in 2008 or later, then he has to run for Senate in 2006. If he does not, and Allen wins reelection and then runs for President in 2008, then the blogosphere as a whole must reject him as a Democrat who betrayed us, and the Party, and indeed the Nation, in our time of need. If Mark Warner betrays us in 2006, then we must betray him in 2008.
Now, I am sure there are some purists out there who think that Mark Warner is too moderate or conservative. Too DLC. I could give a rat's ass. A DLC Warner is better than a Theocon/Neocon Allen. Warner is a Democrat. He will vote with a future Majority Leader Reid. He will reject extremist judges bent onto turning this nation into a theocracy.
So Mr. Warner, if you have hopes for the Presidency in your future, perhaps you should run for the Senate in 2006. Or else, your future is history.
