I can't tell you how much I wish we'd run the election in Ohio. Those of us at the Clark Community Network pulled together like the rest of the netroots with donations, calling, boots on the ground and Wes Clark's endorsement for Hackett. Heck the DCCC did a robocall of Wes for Hackett in Ohio. Read why I support the DCCC as do many many of us who support Wes Clark on the flip.
I live in the textbook red state of Kansas. Last year, John Kerry's train went through the entire state without a single stop. The DNC has ignored us until this year. CW says Democrats can't win here. Yet we have a popular Democratic Governor and in my district, Dennis Moore has served multiple terms. Last year the RNCC, DIck Cheney and others raised lots of money to help Dennis Moore's opponent. You see every election year he's their most targeted candidate. Last time the DCCC jumped in with TV ads and mailings that were enormously helpful and Dennis won again by his largest margin yet. Usually he wins by 2%. So, I support the DCCC, because I know the money I send will help someone in Ohio, like Paul Hackett have an edge that can make the difference in the race. I hope people in Ohio support the DCCC to give candidates in Kansas, Texas, Colorado and other states deemed red to have that fighting edge. I wish we were the kind of state that had a race where they'd do an invasion. I know that's not going to happen. I am glad to know that the money I send will help put boots on the ground in places like S.D. and KY, as they did last year. I'm hoping there will be one in NY-29, which should be a seat we can take with the proper resources. There are many many more, so we need to support one another. Oh yeah, jesselee rocks!
