According to the Swiss newspaper
SonntagsBlick, as of November 10, the CIA had
five secret prisons. There were (are) in Romania, Ukraine, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bulgaria. I found the report on

here. The information came to light because, apparently, the Swiss are spying on the CIA. (Note: God bless the Swiss.)
At least five secret prisons, six if we count the one alleged to be in Poland. That is a substantial network. I can't imagine how any idiot (okay, Bush) could be so stupid to think a gulag that big could be kept secret for very long. That is way more than I thought in my wildest paranoia. For perspective, the Nazis had 18 concentration camps in Europe. I pray ours are smaller, but we are a third of the way there in raw numbers.
