Denny Hastert has just embarked on a White house proven technique. 'It's been working very well for Rove in the "On going investigation" into the Valerie Plame case.

Now get ready for "The cone of silence" to descend over the Repiglicans. All we will hear is "I can't speak to that because there is an on going investigation into the matter." Whether this defense will work or not will depend on what kinds of pressures are used to counter and crack this very effective political device. We have all witnessed how the simple utterance of "The I can't speak response' mollifies even the most aggressive questioner. I think it would be of value for us to discuss this issues and ways to counter this tactic. If we don't the Repigs will once again find refuge behind another Investigation cone of silence.
