First Lets look at all of the sitting Senators with an ACU rating 75% or less:
Shelby (AL) 74%
Stevens (AK) 64%
Snowe (ME) 50%
Collins (ME) 55%
Smith (OR) 75%
Spector (PA) 45%
And for good measure consider Lugar (IN) 79% and Voinovich (77%)
Then look at the liklihood of a primary challenge from a candidate from say the Club for Growth.
Well Here you go:
Spector just won his race and owes GWB big time for covering his but during the CFG challenge 2 years ago so I think he would be at the bottom of the list.
The 2 Women from Maine could be a target. Since Maine has a history of voting for independents anyway.
I think that Shelby could be a target for CFG in the next cycle since just about anyone with a "R" next to his/her name would win. But it would be a tough sell.
And then you have Smith in Oregon. He could be a target and I think the CFG could target him next cycle.
Stevens is going to retire next cycle so count him out.
Finally you have Lugar and Voinovich who aren't that liberal but tend to vote with the Dems on some crucial votes that annoy the hell out of the Wingnuts.
