Arrogance of Power

There is no question that the Democratic Party won a great victory last Tuesday. We in the Demcratic Wing of the Democratic Pary should receive a share of the credit for the win. First, for supporting Howard Dean and his 50 state strategy which was highly successful and second for our support for democratic candidates.

Now we and the Democratic Party have a taste for power. In the space of a few short years, perhaps less than a year the Republican party became corrupt on power. We, the members of the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, have no power. We must act as the conscience of the Party. We must continue to:

increase the small donations to party candidates;
insist on freedom of debate within the party and in the halls of our government;
fight the hubris of power within our own ranks; and
always question everything - particularly our own poositions.
