Gingrich wants to Change Freedom of Speech

Speaking at the Nackey S. Loeb First Amendment award dinner yesterday, our pal Newt Gingrich went so far as to play terror against the most sacred, the most holy of holies, Freedom of Speech...

Gingrich, speaking at a Manchester awards banquet, said a "different set of rules" may be needed to reduce terrorists' ability to use the Internet and free speech to recruit and get out their message.

"We need to get ahead of the curve before we actually lose a city, which I think could happen in the next decade,"

WTF

This is simply outrageous. To use Terrorism to scare people to the point that they lose freedoms. Wait, that's already happened. Wire tapping, Habeas Corpus, Protest Rights... I guess he wants to extend that a little further and redefine just who gets access to Freedom of Speech.

But he didn't stop there... He has other radical stances on just whose Freedom of Speech is protected and how it should be employed. Guess what, he's defending churches and Businesses for the burden of lost freedoms.

Gingrich sharply criticized campaign finance laws he charged were reducing free speech and doing little to fight attack advertising. He also said court rulings over separation of church and state have hurt citizens' ability to express themselves and their faith.

Newt seems off his rocker and should retire out to pasture before he comes up with any more hair brain schemes on how to protect and defend out country. This guy's nutz. A New Set of Rules.... Scary to think he's actually considering a run for the White House. Nothing is sacred to this fool
