I just finished reading the Time article called A White House Without Rove and this quote caught my eye.
"It's like it's twilight in America" says one frustrated conservative.
What do you think he means? Is he talking about the shadow that hangs over the administration thanks to the CIA investigation? Or perhaps the quagmire in Iraq coupled with high gas prices and the distruction of the south? Or do you think this guy is talking about something bigger, something that has been discussed here, and that's the stepping down of the US as the worlds leader.
I just find it strange that the frustrated conservative, whoever he or she is, would use that term to describe the current state of the nation.
The really ironic part is that despite all the problems of late I'm starting to feel hopeful again for the US. It's like it's parts of it are waking up and beginning to fight back. Or maybe THAT is why the Conservative was frustrated.
