So is Cal telling the truth, or is your newspaper mindless regurgitating Republican lying points? Who to believe, so I flipped to your front page, and guess what? Cal is right!
Why? Because first of all you had a headline saying "Federal debt ceiling: $9,000,000,000,000." That is obviously false, since the House, Senate, White House, and Supreme Court are all Republican--and it's the Democrats who are tax and spend. How dare you!
Granted, the headline was below the fold (above the fold was a story and picture on Bibles--nice try, but you're not fooling ME!), but still, why are you bashing the President?
And then, aha!, another headline: "Coalition launches insurgent roundup," which tells me (if I read down a bit) that we are in the midst of the largest air assault since 2003. What?! Hey! WHAT PART OF `MISSION ACCOMPLISHED' DON'T YOU COMMIES UNDERSTAND!!!
So what should your paper have on the front page? That's easy. Just flip on your TV and check out the station where Cal works--the fair and balanced Fox News. There you will find the headline that we expect to see every day across the front page of the Dispatch: "Debutante still missing in Aruba."
I look forward to you mending your ways.
